Bachelor of Science in Biology Education

Our degree in biology education combines biology, chemistry, and teaching skills to ensure you understand the science and know how to plan and teach classes for students of all ages.

You’ll start with the world of biology, learning about everything from tiny cellular processes to large ecosystems. We’ll also introduce you to the basics of chemistry to help connect all aspects of biology.

Additionally, you’ll learn statistics to understand and work with scientific data, and delve into organic chemistry to grasp the chemical processes in living organisms.

Teaching is a central component of this program. You’ll explore how students think and learn, how to develop an effective curriculum, and how to manage a classroom. Practical experience in real classrooms is also a key part of your training, preparing you to confidently lead your own biology classes by the end of the program.
