Complementary Programs
Lynchburg’s coaching minor offers students a combination of tested educational practices and real life experiences.
Through the coursework, students create plans and practice coaching as many as fifteen different sports with peers to help establish their personal coaching style. The coaching apprenticeship allows students the ability to gain hands on experience in a sport (or sports) of their choosing. Other opportunities for coursework include strength and conditioning, sport, exercise, and performance psychology, nutrition, and athletic training to develop a well-rounded coach.
