- An earned master’s or doctoral degree from a regionally-accredited U.S. institution, or a foreign university, based on a transcript evaluation completed by an agency from the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). Meeting requirements for graduate student international admissions is also necessary, if applicable.
- An earned certificate or degree from an ARC-PA-accredited PA program, or an international PA program.
- Please Note: If you haven’t graduated from a U.S.-based ARC-PA accredited program, obtaining a Lynchburg DMSc degree won’t grant you eligibility to sit for the NCCPA PA National Certification Exam (PANCE). For more information on PANCE eligibility, you may visit the Become Certified — NCCPA link.
- Official transcripts from bachelor’s and master’s degree-granting institutions.
- Transcripts must be received before DMSc matriculation and mailed to the University of Lynchburg, Office of Graduate Success, 1501 Lakeside Dr., Lynchburg, VA 24501; or sent through a secure electronic transcript delivery service.
- A minimum overall graduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is required for students whose first language is not English. The University of Lynchburg’s code for the TOEFL is 5372.
- For graduates from ARC-PA accredited programs, proof of active or eligibility for state licensure, and/or NCCPA certification as a PA.
- State licensure or NCCPA certification must be received before DMSc matriculation. NCCPA PA-C Emeritus status will also be accepted.
- A current résumé or curriculum vitae detailing educational and professional achievements.
- A single letter of recommendation from an MD, DO, NP, or PA familiar with the student’s practice.
- Completed online application.
- For admitted students: A $300 non-refundable deposit is required and will apply towards the first semester’s tuition.
2024-25 matriculation:

All textbooks are available digitally and are free to DMSc students. Access and links to texts and resources will be provided in each course. This can save you over $600.
Please note that if you do not finish the program in 12 months, you will incur additional tuition and fees.

Refund Policy:
If a student withdraws before the term begins, they will receive a full tuition refund. However, if the withdrawal or course drop occurs during the term, the following refund policy will apply:
- Within the first week: 90% refund
- Within the second week: 50% refund
- Within the third week: 25% refund
After the third week of the term, no credit will be given.
