Dr. Rogers joined the University of Lynchburg in 2024.

Background

Blake Rogers, DMSc, PA-C serves as Program Director of the University of Lynchburg’s Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) Program. A graduate of the James Madison University PA Program and the University of Lynchburg DMSc Program, he is dedicated to advancing physician associate education, leadership, and scholarship.

Blake’s clinical background includes hospital medicine, critical care, pulmonology, and rural healthcare. Nationally recognized as the American Academy of PAs 2018 Student of the Year, he has served in numerous leadership roles with both the Virginia Academy of PAs and the AAPA. His academic interests focus on artificial intelligence in healthcare, ethics, patient advocacy, and research on the impact of doctoral education for PAs.

Outside of work, Blake is an avid beekeeper and enjoys drawing parallels between the teamwork of a healthy hive and effective healthcare leadership.
