2023-24
If you’re an international student and you are accepted to the University of Lynchburg, you may be eligible for an academic scholarship. No separate scholarship application is required. Students will automatically be awarded scholarships based on their calculated grade point average.
Scholarship letters show the academic standards you need to keep to renew your scholarship. If you meet the standards for the first year, you can continue to receive the scholarship as long as you are still a student at the University.
Note: International students may only receive one scholarship from the University. University of Lynchburg does not provide loans to students. International students are required to prove financial ability to pay the cost of attendance balance (tuition and housing minus scholarship) before being fully admitted.
A student may be eligible for one of the following scholarships if they are not a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible non-citizen:
Global Recognition Scholarship
Although test scores (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo) or proof of English language skills are not used in the scholarship calculation, they may still be required for admissions. In order to receive this award, students must reside in campus housing.
Scholarship Amount
$27,000 per year, renewable up to four years.
Global Presidential Scholarship
Top academic students – both freshmen and transfers – may receive the Global Presidential Scholarship to recognize a history of outstanding scholarship.
Scholarship Amount
$31,000 per year, renewable up to four years.
Housing Requirements
Minimum age for admissions is 17. All international students are required to live on campus unless they are living locally with a family member. Students who do not live on campus will have their scholarship amount reduced.
