2023-24
If you’re an international student and you are accepted to the University of Lynchburg, you may be eligible for an academic scholarship. No separate scholarship application is required.
Scholarship letters show the academic standards you need to keep to renew your scholarship. If you meet the standards for the first year, you can continue to receive the scholarship as long as you are still a student at the University.
Note: International students may only receive one scholarship from the University, and will receive the scholarship with the highest dollar value. University of Lynchburg does not provide loans to students. International students are required to prove financial ability to pay the cost of attendance balance (tuition and housing minus scholarship) before being fully admitted.
A student may be eligible for the following scholarships if they are not a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible non-citizen:
Global Recognition Scholarship
First-Year International Students
Although test scores (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo) or proof of English language skills are not used in the scholarship calculation, they may still be required for admissions. In order to receive this award, students must reside in campus housing.
Transfer International Students
This scholarship is awarded to transfer students that have at least 12 transfer credits. Credits from schools outside of the U.S. must be approved by an approved evaluation service. You may still need to prove your English language skills to be admitted to Lynchburg. Students who receive the Global Achievement Scholarship cannot receive any other transfer scholarships.
Scholarship Amount
$27,000 per year, renewable up to four years.
Global Presidential Scholarship
Top academic students – both freshmen and transfers – may receive the Global Presidential Scholarship to recognize a history of outstanding scholarship. Global Presidential Scholars are chosen by the admissions committee.
Housing Requirements
Minimum age for admissions is 17. All international students are required to live on campus.
Scholarship Amount
$31,000 per year, renewable up to four years.
