So, before you submit your fully refundable* $300 enrollment deposit to become a Lynchburg Hornet, you might like to know why.

Most schools require some sort of deposit during enrollment — that’s normal. Some use it as a firm RSVP; others apply it toward housing or something similar.

At the University of Lynchburg, your enrollment deposit saves your spot in classes and sets you up to make a housing choice you’ll love. The sooner you make your deposit, the sooner your place in our incoming class is secured — and you’re officially a Lynchburg Hornet!

Payment Methods

You can pay online by logging into your account or call our Office of Admissions at 434.544.8300 to speak with your admissions counselor and pay over the phone!
International students may also pay their deposit using the Pay to Study service. Pay to Study is an alternative to bank wire transfers, which gives better currency exchange rates than those offered directly by banks or credit cards.

Enrollment Deposit Refund Policy*

Your enrollment deposit will be credited to your University of Lynchburg account and go toward your tuition. To obtain a refund of the enrollment deposit, you must submit a written request by May 1 for fall applicants and Dec.1 for spring applicants. All requests for enrollment deposit refunds should be emailed to [email protected].

Please note that the enrollment deposit is non-transferable and non-refundable after the specified deadlines. However, it can be deferred for up to one academic year if you decide to attend in a subsequent semester.
