Forms and Documentation

Submitting the right forms on time is essential for processing your financial aid. Our online portal makes it easy to upload documents securely.

Common Forms:

  1. Financial Aid Loan Change Request Form: Modify or cancel your loans with this required form.
  2. Professional Judgment Form: Request a review of your aid if you’ve experienced unusual financial circumstances.

  3. Consortium Agreement Form: Use this form if enrolled at multiple institutions.

How to Submit:

  • Use the File Drop feature to upload forms without needing an account.
  • Ensure all PDF forms include a digital or hand-written signature (typed signatures are not accepted).

Study Abroad Financial Aid

Expand your horizons with study abroad opportunities while managing your finances. The University of Lynchburg offers several funding options for students in global education programs.

How to Apply for Study Abroad Aid:

  1. Choose a program through the Office for Global Education.
  2. Submit your application and register to create a log in.
  3. Explore funding options, including:
    • Scholarships and Grants: Apply for the Experiential Learning Grant (ELG) and other opportunities.
    • Federal Direct Loans: Use these loans to cover program costs.
    • Alternative Loans: Compare lenders with FASTChoice or apply directly through your preferred provider.

Important Considerations:

  • Loan disbursements may not align with program deposit deadlines, so plan accordingly.
  • Students must be enrolled in at least six credit hours to maintain federal loan eligibility.

Specialized Financial Aid Programs

Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant (VTAG)

VTAG is a state-funded, non-need-based grant for Virginia residents attending full-time private colleges.

  • Award Amount: Up to $5,000 per academic year (2023-24).
  • Eligibility: Must be a Virginia resident enrolled full-time.

Future Program

The Future Program is designed for students participating in the “Stay Close, Go Far” scholarship initiative through Lynchburg Beacon of Hope. The scholarship program gives up to $8,000 per student over four years so they can go to Lynchburg or other nearby colleges and technical schools. This program helps students:

  • Connect with peers in the initiative.
  • Explore academic and career goals.
  • Develop skills for post-graduation success.
