Financial Aid
College is expensive, but there are a lot of ways to make it affordable! As many as 98% of LC students benefit from some type of financial assistance.

2013-2014 Undergraduate Cost
$41,845 - the full price (before scholarships or aid) for tuition, fees, room, and board costs for a residential student who selects the base meal plan and lives in a traditional residence hall.

Academic Scholarships
If you are a traditional, full-time freshman or transfer student, you’ll be automatically considered for academic scholarships and awards once you are admitted to Lynchburg College.

Scholarship Competitions
Once you are admitted, you may also want to apply to compete in one of our annual scholarship competitions. These competitions take place on campus at specified dates, and you must apply and be invited in order to participate.

The Federal Application for Student Aid: the FAFSA
The FAFSA is used to determine your eligibility for federal grants, student loans, work-study, and need-based aid.
Students wishing to apply for other forms of financial aid based on need must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible after January 1, 2013. The 2013-2014 FAFSA is applicable for periods of enrollment beginning July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014. LC's school code is 003720.
You can fill out the FAFSA whether you are applying to an undergraduate or graduate program.
The FAFSA is available at fafsa.gov. If you already completed your FAFSA and did not include Lynchburg College's school code, return to fafsa.gov and select Returning User Login, or click on Add A School. You can simply add LC's school code 003720 when you select Make FAFSA Corrections. You will need your Federal Student Aid PIN and password to access your saved FAFSA. After you add LC's school code, your FAFSA results are sent to us automatically. We will then send you a comprehensive financial aid award package that includes aid from College, State and Federal programs.

Grants, Loans, Scholarships, and Veterans Benefits
Various forms of aid are available to you. Grants and scholarships are aid that does not have to be paid back, while loans do need to be paid back.
