Living on-campus in a residence hall is comfortable, and fun, and helps you focus on your studies. Our six residence halls offer on-campus living to all undergraduate students, including those attending summer school.
Each residence hall has:
- Air conditioning and heating.
- Common laundry facilities.
- Common restrooms, and private, gender-inclusive restrooms.
- Full kitchens, including an oven, refrigerator, stove, and microwave.
- Lounges equipped with flat-screen televisions with cable.
Each room includes a bed, dresser, desk, closet, and an ethernet port for each resident. Beds are bunk-able and loft-able, and university-furnished loft kits (no other kits are allowed) are available on a first-come, first-served basis for free. Please note that university-issued furniture cannot be removed from residence hall rooms.
Each residence hall is connected to a wireless network that can be used in both individual rooms and common areas. The residence halls are locked at all times, and students must use their student ID to scan into the exterior doors of all residential facilities. Students are provided with a key to their individual assigned rooms.

Isn’t it a dorm?
At the University of Lynchburg, we have “residence halls” instead of “dorms.” Why? Because where you live is a lot more than a place to sleep at night. It’s also where you study, relax, and socialize. In the residence halls, we also offer special programs that help you grow as a person while you grow as a scholar.
