Here, you won’t find bland, boring college cafeteria food. Our in-house chef creates menus with you in mind.

Dining Services at the University of Lynchburg offers a wide variety of food options, including Tex-Mex, takeout, delivery pizza, a full salad and deli bar, and two coffee shops. We focus on fresh, locally sourced foods to give you a great dining experience with friends. Burton Dining Hall, located in the Drysdale Student Center, is proud to be a Certified Green Restaurant®.

In addition to the dining hall, you can also enjoy dining at the Westover Room, The Daiki Box, Brewed by Mission House, and Domino’s. Our catering services, Hopwood & LaRue, can make any event, whether for a University office or outside group, special.

Guest Meals

If you have a University of Lynchburg meal plan, you have guest meals you may use in Burton Dining Hall during the semester.

Present your ID card to the cashier in the dining hall and request that a guest meal privilege be deducted for your visitor.

Theme Meals and Events

Enjoy fun and popular theme meals each semester, including cookouts, Super Bowl parties, movie nights, seafood nights, and late-night breakfasts during exams.
Unlimited Meal Plans

Each Unlimited meal plan includes unlimited access to Burton Dining Hall throughout the semester, along with additional campus spending funds and mobile ordering at The Westover Room and Daiki Box.

  • Unlimited plan with $1,175 Dining Dollars and $50 Hornet Bucks
  • Unlimited plan with $700 Dining Dollars and $50 Hornet Bucks
  • Mobile ordering at The Westover Room and Daiki Box

Dining Dollars

Dining Dollars can be used for food and beverage purchases at participating campus dining locations. They are included with select meal plans and provide flexibility for meals, snacks, and drinks outside of Burton Dining Hall. Dining Dollars can also be used at participating off-campus partners. Dining Dollars are accepted at all campus vending units and unattended retail locations, providing convenient 24/7 access.

Dining Dollar Plans

The former Hornet Plans have been renamed Dining Dollar Plans. Available options include:

  • Dining Dollar 1,000
  • Dining Dollar 750
  • Dining Dollar 500

Dining Dollar Plans are available for students in Southside and non-traditional housing.

Housing Plan Availability

Students in Southside may choose from Unlimited Plus, Unlimited, Dining Dollar 1,000, Dining Dollar 750, or Dining Dollar 500.

Hornet Bucks

In addition to dining-related use, Hornet Bucks can also be used at Mail Services and The Hornet Shop. Students receive a 5% discount on apparel purchases at The Hornet Shop when using Hornet Bucks.

Hornet Bucks are also accepted at all campus vending units and unattended retail locations, providing convenient 24/7 access.
