Financial Facts
- Meal Plans: All undergraduate international students must live on campus and have a full meal plan unless they live locally with a family member. If you get permission to live off-campus but choose to keep a meal plan, your scholarship will be reduced.
- First-Year Students: To receive an F-1 visa, you must provide official financial documentation (dated within the last 6 months) that shows sponsorship for one full academic year to both the University and the U.S. government. Additional financial aid is not available during your first year.
- Borrowing Money: To take out a loan, you need a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident co-signer with a strong credit history. This co-signer is responsible if you cannot make payments.
- Employment: F-1 students must have sponsorship to cover tuition and living expenses. Working to replace that sponsorship is not permitted.
