Two exhibits opened at the Daura Museum of Art  last week, “15 Minutes of Fame: Andy Warhol and the Cult of Celebrity” and “The African Conservation Project.” Both exhibits run through Friday, Sept. 24.

The Warhol exhibit consists of photographs donated to the museum by the Andy Warhol Photographic Legacy Program of the Andy Warhol Foundation. Items in the African art exhibit, everything from ceremonial masks to utilitarian vessels, were collected by the museum over the past 20 years.

The Daura Museum of Art also will host the following exhibits this fall:

  • “Ground Zero with Peter Turnley: A Photographer’s Presence on 9/11,” Aug. 31-Oct. 15
  • “INTO LIGHT: Erasing the Stigma of the Disease of Drug Addiction,” Oct. 5-Nov. 12
  • “Battered: Donna Ferrato’s Documentation of Domestic Violence,” Oct. 5-Nov. 23
  • “Umaña: Recent Acquisitions/Works on Paper,” October-November (exact dates TBD)
