Nursing Application Process

We will begin accepting nursing program applications for Fall 2025 through the admission cycle from Jan. 15 to May 15, 2025, using the Nursing Central Application System (CAS). Classes will start in August 2025.

Starting in Fall 2025, the Bachelor of Science in Nursing will consist of 120 credit hours, divided into two years of prerequisites and two years of nursing courses. Interested applicants must first be accepted into the University of Lynchburg as a traditional or transfer student.

Applicants will either complete their first two years of prerequisite courses at the University of Lynchburg or be transfer students admitted to the University of Lynchburg and hold the required completed prerequisites. Interested applicants should have completed all prerequisites, the TEAS test, and all other application requirements.

  • All applicants must apply through the CAS. Once they access the system, they must select the Fall 2025 term, set up their account, select the University of Lynchburg BSN program, and follow the instructions to apply.
  • Applications for the Fall entry term will be accepted from Jan. 15 to April 1. The CAS considers an application complete when all required items, including fees, official transcripts, TEAS test scores, and other documents, are e-submitted with the application.
    • The University of Lynchburg requires that CAS verify application items before they are reviewed by the nursing admissions committee. This verification process can take up to four weeks, so applicants should submit all items to CAS as early as possible.

  • All accepted applicants will receive notice via email (check your spam filter) by June 15. Additional requirements, such as criminal background checks, including FBI fingerprints, drug screening, and clinical clearance requirements, are also required before starting nursing courses.
