iHeartRadio is a free streaming service owned by iHeartMedia, which bills itself as “the #1 audio company” in the U.S., reaching “a quarter of a billion monthly listeners.” You can listen to the interview here.

Shawn Wood, Lynchburg’s associate vice president of advancement, was traveling with the president that week and was there for the interview. “What a wonderful opportunity for the University and President Selden to be showcased on a national platform,” he said.

“Her passion, vision, and determination to unite the campus community and enhance our local partnerships is inspiring.”

Matt Anderson ’14, a Lynchburg alumnus and vice president of sports partnerships at iHeartMedia, facilitated the interview.

“It was great to see Matt Anderson, a Lynchburg graduate, in action,” Selden said. “It was such an honor to be interviewed … and to join the distinguished group of CEOs across different sectors and in the country who have been part of this series.

“Most importantly, it was special to be able to share with iHeart listeners the value of the University of Lynchburg experience.”
