University of Lynchburg Board of Trustees welcomes new members

The University of Lynchburg Board of Trustees welcomed the following new members on July 1: Analisa Archer ’93, Bill Bodine ’78, ’89 MAd, Andy Flint, Kevin Moore ’93, and Jim Napier ’75.

Analisa Archer ’93

Archer, of Washington, D.C., is deputy chief human capital officer for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Over the past two decades, she also has served at the U.S. Department of Justice, the Congressional Research Service, and the National Archives and Records Administration.

Throughout her career, Archer has led initiatives across all areas of human capital management, with particular emphasis on talent acquisition, staffing, diversity and inclusion, and human capital data and information systems. She is widely recognized within the federal human capital community as a strong advocate for diversity and an innovator in workforce systems and practices.

Archer graduated from Lynchburg College magna cum laude with bachelor’s degrees in English and political science. She was a Westover Honors Fellow and recipient of Lynchburg’s highest academic honor, the Richard Clarke Sommerville Scholar Award.

As a student, Archer was president of the Student Activities Board, served on the Student Judicial Board, participated in Model United Nations, and was inducted into Sigma Tau Delta, the national English honor society. She also received the Lynchburg College Service Award and participated in the inaugural Anderson Leadership Conference.

Bill Bodine ’78, ’89 MAd

More recently, she has served on Lynchburg’s alumni board and president’s advisory council.

Bodine, of Lynchburg, is retired from the Greater Lynchburg Community Trust, where he served as president and chief executive officer. He earned two degrees at Lynchburg — a bachelor’s in business administration and a master’s in accounting — and was a member of the track and field team. He was inducted into the Lynchburg Sports Hall of Fame in 2024.

Bodine is a passionate supporter of the arts and an accomplished performer. He has appeared in more than 60 local theater productions with Endstation Theatre Company, Opera on the James, Wolfbane Theatre Company, the University of Lynchburg, and other groups. He also has served in leadership roles with several arts organizations and as president of the University of Lynchburg Alumni Board. He is a dedicated alumnus and has remained active in the life of the University and the broader community.

He is the brother of Sue Bodine Tatum ’88.

While not an alumnus, Flint has a multigenerational family legacy on Lynchburg’s board of trustees. Dating back to the 1980s, the board has included Flint’s mother, Polly Blackwell Flint ’71, ’73 MEd, ’18 DHL; grandfather, Dr. Lloyd G. Flint Jr. ’41, ’89 DL; and grandmother, Lorraine Kiley Flint ’43.

Andy Flint

For decades, the Flint family also has provided generous financial support for numerous programs, facilities, and scholarship initiatives at Lynchburg.

Flint, who has a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from Virginia Tech, is president of L.G. Flint General Contractors in Lynchburg. He has more than three decades of experience in construction management, with particular expertise in project oversight, strategic planning, and residential and commercial development.

He is a well-connected member of the Lynchburg business community, with longstanding professional relationships across the region and experience leading a locally rooted business with a reputation for quality construction and project delivery.

Since graduating from Lynchburg College, Moore has built a career spanning nearly 30 years in education and leadership. He is currently the director of human resources for the Mount Olive Township School District in Flanders, New Jersey. He previously served as principal of Chester M. Stephens Elementary School and assistant principal at Mount Olive Middle School. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Montclair State University.

Kevin Moore ’93

Moore earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Lynchburg, where he also was a member of the men’s basketball team. He also has a master’s degree in educational leadership from Seton Hall University.

He is known as a collaborative and respected leader with a strong ability to build consensus and develop solutions across complex organizations. A lifelong learner and mentor, he maintains meaningful connections with former students and athletes and is widely regarded for his positive leadership and community impact.

Moore’s background includes military service, where he was recognized for his contributions, and he is a volunteer firefighter with the Long Valley Volunteer Fire Company No. 1. 

Napier is senior executive officer and chairman of Napier Realtors, a family-run residential real estate firm in Chesterfield County, Virginia. Under his leadership, Napier Realtors has earned a strong reputation for excellence, innovation, and workplace culture. The firm has been repeatedly recognized as a Richmond Times-Dispatch Top Workplace, including a No. 1 ranking in the small-company category.

Jim Napier ’75

Napier has held numerous leadership roles in the real estate profession and community, including president of the Richmond Association of Realtors and 2023 Richmond Realtor of the Year. He also has served as a director and chairman of Central Virginia Bankshares and continues to serve on the board of C&F Bank.

Reflecting Napier’s commitment to civic engagement, Napier Realtors has supported extensive community initiatives, including major fundraising efforts for VCU Massey Cancer Center, sponsorship of the USO of Hampton Roads and Central Virginia, and support of healthcare, blood services, and local nonprofit organizations.

Napier has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Lynchburg. He also competed on the indoor and outdoor track and field teams and is a 1992 inductee of the University’s Sports Hall of Fame. His wife, Kathy O’Hara Napier ’75, also is a Lynchburg graduate and supporter of the University.    

The following board of trustees members retired from service on June 30: Melanie Biermann ’71, Steve Crank ’73, ’74 MBA, Darla Edwards ’95, Nat Marshall ’83, David Rosser ’90, and Dr. Verna Sellers.
