- Freshmen
High school seniors or high school graduates with little or no college work. - Transfer students or transfer students seeking a nursing degree
Transfer students are traditional-age students (24 or younger) who have completed or are in the process of completing 12 or more college credits after graduating from high school. - International applicants
International students seeking freshman or transfer status - Access (adult) applicants
Students who are at least 25 years old, and may or may not have college credits. - Second-degree applicants or students seeking a second degree in nursing
Students who have completed one bachelor’s degree (or more) and would like to pursue an additional undergraduate degree - Readmission candidates

Our Acceptance Policy
University of Lynchburg does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, or national or ethnic origin. An annual Lynchburg security report is available upon request from the Office of Admissions and describes campus safety practices, crime statistics, reporting, and prevention education, as well as policies and educational programs on alcohol, illegal drugs, and sexual assault.
Final Transcripts and Grades
All applications are carefully reviewed by the Admissions Committee. Accepted applicants will be expected to provide University of Lynchburg with official final transcripts. All admissions decisions will be confirmed by final grades. Accepted applicants are expected to maintain satisfactory academic performance throughout their final semester.
