Commencement exercises for the University of Lynchburg’s undergraduate Class of 2023 were held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, on Shellenberger Field. All told, 394 undergraduates — 203 Bachelor of Arts and 191 Bachelor of Science — received their diplomas.

Award-winning documentary, other events celebrate ‘Lavender Week’ March 16-19
The University of Lynchburg, specifically its Gender Studies program and the offices of Equity and Inclusion, Student Engagement and Leadership Development, and Housing and Residence Life, will present two events based on the book “The Lavender Scare: The Cold War Persecution of Gays and Lesbians in the Federal Government.”
‘Blackballed’ author to speak Feb. 20
Lawrence Ross, author of Blackballed: The Black and White Politics of Race on America’s Campuses, will speak at the University of Lynchburg on Wednesday, February 20. The talk, which begins at 6:30 p.m., will be held in Memorial Ballroom at Hall Campus Center. The event is open to the public and free.
