  • First-year housing application: June 29, 2025

2025-26 Application Process

If you’re a new student planning to live on campus, you must complete the First-year Housing Application (new first-year students) or the Transfer Housing Application (new transfer students). The application will help us match you with a roommate based on your lifestyle and preferences.

  1. Create a Lynchburg network account: Before students can log into the Housing Portal, they must set up their University of Lynchburg network account and activate their account and email through our Passport webpage. The student must wait 24 hours before using that username and password to log in.
  2. Complete the Application: To access the applications, log onto your Housing Portal and click the “Applications” tab. The corresponding application will be displayed based on first-year or transfer status.
  3. For first-year students: Fill out the First-year Housing Application. Then, search for roommates. To do this, go to the Housing Portal, select “Room Selection,” and then choose “Select Roommates.” Please ensure the “For the Term” is Fall 2025.
    1. To be matched with a roommate, students must invite and accept each other in the system. Only students who have completed the housing application will appear in this process. Students can search for roommates by first and last name or several search criteria. We encourage all students to complete a Roommate Profile under the “Personal Information” tab to enhance the roommate search function.
    2. Students who have not selected a roommate by June 29, 2025, will be paired with a roommate by the Office of Residential Experience and notified of the match no later than July 3, 2025
    3. New first-year students will select their housing assignments electronically through the Housing Portal July 9-11, 2025. Students will receive an email to their University email address with their specific selection date and time. All incoming first-year students are placed in Montgomery and Tate Halls. Any residential first-year students admitted after June 29 will be manually assigned to housing.
  4. For transfer students: Fill out the Transfer Housing Application (new transfer students) by July 13, 2025. Transfer and other incoming students will be placed in one of our returning student residential facilities. The housing coordinator will utilize responses shared on the application to make assignments. Any residential transfer students admitted after July 13 will be manually assigned to housing.
