1. Help a Hornet (The Lynchburg Fund)

Goal: $1 Million
Why give? You have a passion for inspiring independent thinkers every day.
Needs/Stats:

$78M+ - Annual operating expenses of the University.

Through The Lynchburg Fund, your gift can support:

  • Education through experiential learning
  • Immersive opportunities that provide a global worldview
  • Faculty-student research and collaboration
  • Student internships, networking, and career opportunities
  • Faculty pursuits that increase the profile of Lynchburg

2. Pick a Project (Capital Needs)

Goal: $3.5 Million
Why give? You have a passion for supporting facilities that help students experience academic and athletic excellence.

  • Hobbs-Sigler Renovations
  • Fox Field Renovations
  • Tennis Courts
  • Equestrian Facilities

Projects funded this fiscal year:

  • Daura Museum of Art’s Stewart Coleman Gallery, and Crank Plaza - $175k
  • Thompson-Polloway Hall model classroom - $300k
  • McMillan Nursing Building Renovations - $1.2 million

3. Fortify the Foundation (Endowments and Student Scholarships)

Goal: $200 Million (Current endowment at $145 million)
Why give? You have a passion for helping students attend Lynchburg as feasibly as possible and enjoy the full Lynchburg experience.
Needs/Stats:

Endowed scholarships, programs, speaker series, professorships

Projects funded this fiscal year:

  • $1.3 million - Amount of private contributions provided annually toward financial aid, which is only 4% of total scholarship aid awarded
  • 30% - Percent of full-time undergraduate students who were awarded Pell Grants in Fall 2023
  • $50,450 - Tuition, room, and board for 2024/2025
