Anywhere it paves the way for today’s generation to become tomorrow’s kind, capable leaders. Since 1903, Lynchburg has been that kind of place. It’s where everyone feels welcome, where Hornets grow wings in the classroom and put down roots in the Dell.
And this year, it’s where GiveDay becomes GiveDays, April 15 and 16, expanding your opportunity to give to what you love most about Lynchburg.

We’ve set an ambitious goal of 1,000 donors for GiveDays, and we need your help to reach it!
Your GiveDays gift fuels Lynchburg’s mission of inspiring independent thinkers to become trustworthy, effective leaders who shape caring communities.

And that’s why a dollar here does more good than almost anywhere else.
Celebrate GiveDays with us by giving to The Lynchburg Fund or another fund meaningful to you. You can give online during GiveDays or mail your gift. Please note that your gift must be postmarked by April 15 in order to be included in our GiveDays. Due to changes at the U.S. Postal Service, you may need to mail your check earlier to ensure that it is postmarked by the deadline.
If donating by check, please make it payable to the University of Lynchburg and reference “GiveDays” and your designation, if any, on the memo line.

What's involved?
- Make your gift on GiveDays. Every gift matters. Make a gift in any amount to any fund, and help us reach our GiveDays donor goal of 1,000. We thank you if you have already made a gift this fiscal year (from July 1 to June 30)! By making an additional gift on GiveDays, you can help us make the day successful — your participation sets an example for others!
- Share, Tag, Challenge! Are you on Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), or LinkedIn? Be sure to share all things GiveDays on your pages and use the hashtag #LynchburgGiveDays. Tag as many hornets as you can and challenge them to make a gift of their own.
- Email or call fellow Hornets. Email your Lynchburg network and ask them to join you in making a gift. If you would like a list of your classmates, former students, or players — any Hornets you would like to encourage, please email [email protected], and we can likely provide you with contact information for these individuals!

Can I give to any fund on GiveDays?
If I make a new pledge (not a gift), will I count as a GiveDays donor?
Yes, new pledges will be counted during GiveDays. However, if you currently have a pledge and wish to make a payment during GiveDays, that payment will not be counted toward our donor totals.
Is my payment secure?
YES! As is the case every day, all payments will be processed using a secure online giving form.
What types of gifts are accepted on GiveDays?
All types of gifts will be counted, including new or additional gifts for this fiscal year and payments on existing pledges.
Gifts made online, by phone, or in person between now and GiveDays 2026 will be accepted. If you want to make your gift by check, please write “GiveDays” in the memo.
All gifts received between now and GiveDays 2026 will be included in our GiveDays 2026 numbers.
Who can participate in GiveDays?
Alumni, parents, faculty and staff, students, friends — anyone and everyone who wants to support Lynchburg can make a gift ($5 minimum).
Why are GiveDays different from any other day?
Hornets help each other get where we want to go! GiveDays are days for all Hornets to come together and celebrate our past, present, and future. It’s your chance to honor what you love most about Lynchburg!
