Commuter Students

Located on the corner of College Drive and Vernon Street, the Commuter Student Center is open to all commuter students from 6 a.m.–midnight.

This is a great place to study, relax, and hang out with friends. There are also two available study rooms that can be reserved online.

Amenities include:

• Cable television
• Coffee and Tea Station
• Fridge
• Microwave
• Vending Machines
• Computers
• Free printing (just need to provide your own paper)
• Study rooms
• Lounge space

CSA is a student organization that helps to plan programs for non-residential students and is your voice on the Student Government Association (SGA).

CAW takes place in both the fall and spring semester. It’s a week-long program of events designed for commuter students, including:

• Free coffee and donuts in the commuter parking lot
• A themed commuter lunch
• Trivia night

Commuter Appreciation Week for Fall 2022 will take place Sept. 12-16.

Any of the white spaces on campus can be used as commuter student parking. Commuter students are encouraged to park in the commuter lot behind Hobbs-Sigler Hall.

There is a $100 annual registration fee for full-time non-resident (commuting) first-year students and all sophomores, juniors, and senior students.

Students residing off-campus may choose from the following options:

• Unlimited Meal Plan
• 80 Lunch Plan
• Hornet Plan 300

Students may also supplement their meal plan with a Lynchburg Express Account.
