COVID-19 Travel Update
Given the continued impact and uncertain nature of COVID-19, the University of Lynchburg has made the decision to cancel all study abroad programs through spring 2021. The University did not take this decision lightly, but felt it was necessary to ensure the health and safety of the campus community. This decision was informed by guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, U.S. Department of State, and World Health Organization. Lynchburg will continue to monitor the situation before making any determinations about summer 2021 study abroad and/or domestic study away. In the event programs for summer 2021 are canceled, we will convey any decisions with as much advance notice as possible. The Center for Global Education will communicate with all students who have applied to participate in programs as more information is available.
Opportunities for Undergraduate and Graduate Students
We offer multiple faculty-led, exchange, and direct enrollment study abroad programs designed to prepare students for competitive careers in a global society. Our partnerships with colleges and universities around the world make study abroad accessible for more students. In fact, Lynchburg students are more than twice as likely to study abroad as their peers at similar schools. You can join them!
