Graduate One Stop: Graduate One Stop is your opportunity to ensure that you’re on track to graduate. The Registrar, Business Office, Financial Aid, Academic & Career Services, Graduate Studies, Alumni Relations, and Senior Gift Campaign will all be on-hand to make sure you’ve got everything covered in time for graduation. After completing your required paperwork, you may order your regalia (cap, gown, tassel and degree hood).
Capn’ It Off: Your final chance to make sure you are on track for graduation, where you can also pick up your cap and gown that you ordered at Graduate One Stop.
Access Putting Him/Her Through Ceremony: The Putting Him/Her Through celebration is in recognition of graduating Access students (age 25 and older) and in honor of those persons who have supported the graduates and contributed to their journey toward graduation. At the ceremony graduating Access students will be able to thank their family, friends, and professors for their support and contribute on their journey towards graduation. At this ceremony we will also recognize the nominees and announce the winner of the Mari Normyle Access Achievement Award and AAUW Give-a-Grad-a-Gift Membership Award.
Baccalaureate Service: The Baccalaureate Service is an opportunity to worship together and send students forth into new adventures. Our newest alums receive a blessing and the challenge to use their education for the common good. We celebrate and give thanks for the perseverance and success of our students, say thank you to those who have supported our students while they were here, and celebrate the pride we have in this class. Honorary degrees will be presented. Guest speaker will be Rev. Coretha Loughridge ’80, Transitional Regional Minister for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Virginia.
Candlelight Ceremony: The candlelight ceremony is a time of reflection, remembrance and giving thanks. This event takes place in the Snidow Chapel with fellow seniors, friends, and family.
