Job Responsibilities:

• Strategic Advising Leadership: Define and execute the university-wide academic advising vision, leveraging student success metrics and retention data to improve graduation rates.
• Direct Student Advising: Provide high-impact academic advising, course planning, and intensive coaching to support the academic progress and persistence of all undergraduate students.
• Cross-Campus Collaboration: Partner with admissions, registrars, academic deans, and external programs (such as TransferVirginia) to ensure seamless student transitions and transparent credit transfer.
• Staff & Faculty Development: Direct departmental operations, supervise advising staff, and lead the Advising Academy to maintain high-quality mentorship standards among faculty advisors.
• Retention Monitoring & Early Intervention: Monitor early alerts, course failures, and enrollment status reports to launch immediate outreach and support strategies for at-risk students.
