Memorial Ballroom, Hall Campus CenterLectures & SeminarsJoin us for an evening with acclaimed author Crystal Wilkinson as she presents a public reading of her latest work. The event includes an interactive Q&A session where you can ask about her writing process and inspirations, followed by a book signing. Crystal Wilkinson, a recent recipient of a Writing Freedom fellowship and former Poet Laureate of Kentucky, is the award-winning author of several works, including the culinary memoir "Praisesong for the Kitchen Ghosts" and the poetry collection "Perfect Black." She has received numerous accolades, including an NAACP Image Award and an O. Henry Prize. Currently, she teaches creative writing at the University of Kentucky. Her upcoming memoir, "Heartsick," will be released by Crown.
