Anna Wehr ’17 seized on her passion for theater while at Lynchburg, building up to a musical that she wrote and put on as her thesis project for Westover Honors College.
“I was a very shy kid in high school. I wasn’t involved very much, but through experiences with theater, I was able to grow in leadership,” she said. “When I came to college, I was able to take on leadership positions within my sorority and with the theater honor society. I learned with those experiences … making mistakes is okay. It’s about how you learn and grow from those mistakes.”
After graduating from Lynchburg, Wehr worked as managing director of the Virginia Theatre Association. She then enrolled in a master’s degree program at Virginia Tech, training to be a leader in the arts community.
