The University of Lynchburg’s African American Affinity Group will host the Helen Mundy Witt Memorial Brunch, “A Moment In Women’s History,” at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, April 10.

The event honors the legacy of Dr. Helen Mundy Witt ’67, ’78, ’13 DEd, an educator, civil rights advocate, and the first Black graduate of what was then Lynchburg College. It will be held in Drysdale Student Center’s West Room. Tickets, which are $35, can be purchased here.
Proceeds will benefit the African American Affinity Group and the Rev. Goldie Canody Jones Blair ’69, ’75 MEd Trailblazer Book Fund, which was established in 2015 by members of the Helen Mundy Witt Society.
The Helen Mundy Witt Society, an alumni association affinity group established in 2013, focuses on the advancement of positive, professional networking among the University’s Black alumni.
