The University of Lynchburg’s On Common Ground restaurant in Drysdale Student Center is now a new sushi and hibachi dining spot — The Daiki Box.
It has replaced El Si, the previous dining spot. The official opening was on Monday, Aug. 18.
Menu items include fresh, handcrafted sushi rolls, hibachi bowls, boba tea, milk tea, fruit tea, fresh fruit lemonade, yogurt slush, “signature coffee creations to fuel your day,” and many other options.
The Daiki Box is located on the third floor of Drysdale Student Center, next to the Burton Dining Hall.
Their hours of operation are Monday through Friday, with a limited menu from 8:30 a.m.-9 p.m. and a full menu 11 a.m.-9 p.m.; Saturday, 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m.; and closed on Sunday.
Although El Si has closed, dining services will continue to serve their signature burrito bowls and wraps periodically at the made-to-order station in Burton Dining Hall. Interested patrons should watch for announcements on the dining services website.
