As of June 1, 2024, the Center for Community Engagement is now under the Center for Career Engagement Opportunities (CEO).

At the Center for Career Engagement Opportunities, we are excited to connect students, faculty, and staff with our neighbors in Lynchburg. The Center brings together campus and community, from the Dell to the heart of Hill City.

We believe that giving back and taking part is at the core of our Hornet community. The University of Lynchburg has a rich history rooted in service, and we are proud to live into that legacy, semester through semester. All are invited to turn out for on-campus volunteer events, join us for campfire conversations, and create your own adventure in the city of Lynchburg. Follow our social media for community updates and programming, set up a meeting to put names to faces, and sign up for our volunteer newsletter (we promise, the newsletter is always a fun read).

Our office is located on the second floor of Drysdale Center, conveniently located by the Fitness Center and Westover’s famous tots. We are always happy to support you as you find your own way to serve off-campus, but you should also know that we also have a top-notch study room if you need a home base on campus.
