Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and evaluate programs and services to increase admissions and retention of international students. This includes pre-arrival and international student orientation.
  • Serve as a DSO (Designated School Official) and monitor the immigration status of international students, making sure that USCIS (United States Citizenship & Immigration Services), Homeland Security, and College regulations are met and reported through SEVIS.
  • Provide academic advising to international students as needed. Assist incoming students and scholars with housing, academics, and other logistical concerns related to their arrival and living away from home.
  • Support the University’s diversity and global awareness initiative.
  • Partner with parents and families to support student success by serving as content administrator for the Hornet Hive (parent communication), primary contact for the Parent and Family Advisory Committee, and support for parents and families on special recruitment programs.
