Biography: Dr. Sarah Bolander has been a PA educator since 2014 and currently serves as faculty in the PA program at Northern Arizona University. She has been adjunct faculty with the University of Lynchburg’s DMSc program since 2020 and continues to practice clinically in pediatric orthopaedics.
Dr. Bolander is a Distinguished Fellow of AAPA and a 2025 Pi Alpha Honor Society inductee. Her scholarly contributions include peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and a co-authored medical review book. She is the 2024–2025 AAPA-PAEA Research Fellow, with a focus on PA-specific doctoral degrees. A frequent national presenter and workshop facilitator, Dr. Bolander is recognized for her expertise in orthopaedics and medical education. She is passionate about lifelong learning and professional development, serving on several national CME committees.
She has served in multiple roles with her state association including Past President of the Arizona State Association of Physician Assistants and as an Arizona delegate for the AAPA House of Delegates. Her sustained advocacy at both state and national levels reflects a deep commitment to advancing the PA profession through leadership, policy, and education.
