Get involved on campus in some way, shape, or form. I think the easiest way is to go on OLP trips, or maybe to join a club that fits your interests.

Their Undeniably Life-Changing Story

From: Sandpoint, Idaho

Transfer From: Southern Virginia University

Testimonial:

I found Lynchburg through a friend of a friend. I was initially going to SVU to play baseball and major in pre-med, so I could later attend medical school and become an anesthesiologist. After thoughtful deliberation, I decided to switch my major to nursing and move to Lynchburg, as it was close to my old school. I got involved on campus by participating in the Outdoor Leadership Program (OLP) trips, and eventually became a student staff member so I could help others enjoy trips as I had. The OLP Coordinator has made me appreciate the outdoors more than I ever have before, and I thank him for allowing me, as well as many other students, to experience the great outdoors.

Advice for New Transfer:

Do not transfer again, and think carefully about the major you really want to choose so you won’t have to change it later. Additionally, consider getting involved on campus in some way, shape, or form. I think the easiest way is to go on OLP trips or join a club that aligns with your interests.
