University of Lynchburg students can take advantage of three new residential learning communities opening in Fall 2019. The new learning communities — Spirituality, Wellness and Mindfulness; Dimensions of Diversity; and one for the Westover Honors College — will allow students to live nearby others with similar interests and participate in co-curricular programs together.

Alumna’s gift to support scholarships, diversity initiatives at Lynchburg
In January, the University of Lynchburg received a gift of $386,250 from the estate of Clara Lee Miller ’49. Miller, a longtime guidance counselor who died in 2006, had a heart for helping students, particularly needy ones. At Lynchburg, her gift will be used to fund scholarships for women and minority students and strengthen the University’s equity and inclusion efforts.
