The University of Lynchburg will welcome Spanish musicians Juan Pinilla and David Caro for a flamenco concert at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, in Sydnor Performance Hall. The concert is free and open to the public.
Pinilla is a well-known flamenco singer from Granada, Spain. In addition, he is a critic, writer, and columnist. His accompanying guitarist, Caro, is also from Spain. Pinilla won the Festival del Cante de las Minas in August 2007 with the Lampara Minera. This is considered the most important flamenco prize. In 2014, he was nominated for a Latin Grammy.
