The University of Lynchburg will celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with music, dance, and the spoken word on Monday, January 21, at 6 p.m. in Snidow Chapel.
Dr. Owen Cardwell, a civil rights leader who serves as the University’s Rosel H. Schewel Distinguished Chair in Education, will give the keynote address titled, “From a Dream to a Plan.” Loricia Battiste ’21 will perform a liturgical dance, and Darian Geddis ’20 will present a spoken word performance. Students also will read selections from King’s writings.
