Dr. Spaulding joined the University of Lynchburg in 2021.

Biography: Dr. Spaulding is a professor and director of special education programs at the University of Lynchburg. Born and raised in Ottawa, Canada, she began her educational career teaching elementary education in Rochester, NY, followed by teaching English in Japan, and special education in Chesapeake, VA. Her experience in higher education includes serving as a research fellow, administrative chair of research, dissertation methodologist, and Fulbright specialist. Dr. Spaulding peer reviews, publishes, and presents nationally and internationally on topics related to inclusive education and retention and persistence in higher education.
