My friendships with my fellow Greek Life members, professors Dr. Hedrick and Dr. Pieper, and my Sigma Nu brothers have made my experience of being a Hornet an incredible ride with more and more to look forward to.

Their Undeniably Life-Changing Story

Transfer From: Virginia Tech

I went to a larger school for my freshman year, thinking it was my dream school. However, after struggling academically, I needed a change of scene. After meeting with Academic and Faculty advisors multiple times in the summer of 2019, I decided transferring was the best choice. In my first semester, I kept to myself and focused on my studies because I wanted to bring my GPA back to a good standing. During the spring 2020 semester, I decided to become more involved. I attended the Leadership Retreat held at the school during the winter before the term started. I rushed and joined the Sigma Nu Mu Chi chapter, and I decided to live on campus for the fall 2020 semester.

Transferring to the University of Lynchburg was the best decision I have ever made. I was able to make the Dean’s list both of my sophomore semesters. I had the opportunity to go on an incredible trip to Colorado Springs to visit the Olympic Training Center with other students in my major. My friendships with my fellow Greek Life members, professors Dr. Hedrick and Dr. Pieper, and my Sigma Nu brothers have made my experience as a Hornet an incredible ride, with more and more to look forward to.
