Location: Snidow Chapel Date: Monday, March 16, 2026 Time: 7 p.m. Former evangelical pastor Brian Recker will speak at the University of Lynchburg’s Snidow Chapel at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 16. The event is part of the annual Jennie Cutler Shumate Lecture and is free and open to the public. Recker is the author of “Hell Bent.” The book, according to Recker’s website, takes “an honest look at scripture and reveals what has been true all along: Hell isn’t a real place, and God’s universal love is radically inclusive, in this life and the next.” Before the lecture, Recker will have lunch with students in the East Room from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m and dinner with key stakeholders in the West Room from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. For more information about this lecture or future lectures, contact the Spiritual Life Center at [email protected].
