Campus Tours. Expert Talks. Real-World Insight.

First Fridays are monthly visit events designed to help prospective students explore the University of Lynchburg in a hands-on, engaging way. These events provide an opportunity to tour our campus, connect with faculty and students, and attend expert-led sessions on topics that shape today’s education and careers.

Each First Friday includes:

  • A student-led campus tour, including academic buildings, residence halls, and student life spaces.
  • Two faculty presentations:
    • A recurring session, “The AI-Powered Advantage in Education,” presented by Charley Butcher, Chief Educational Technology Officer. This session explores how students can begin developing future-ready skills informed by emerging technologies.
    • A rotating session focused on a different academic field or area of interest. Topics vary by month and have included entrepreneurship, criminology, healthcare, biology, and art.
  • Complimentary lunch in the University’s dining hall.
