Master of Arts
The Master of Arts degree focuses on three areas of study: English, history, and music.
The English and history programs provide advanced study for:

- Individuals planning to pursue Ph.D. programs
- Those interested in increasing their knowledge of the fields
The music program provides in-depth training for:
- Current conducting professionals
- Those preparing for doctoral programs

Dr. Oeida Hatcher, associate professor of music and director of instrumental studies/music education, serves as chairperson of the Music Department and director of bands. |
Dr. Clifton Potter '62, professor of history and College Marshal, and Dr. Dorothy Bundy T. Potter '64, associate professor of history, often bring history to life with dialogue and costumes. |
