Internships

Many history majors interned in legal offices or in the public history arena. Recent placements include the Lynchburg and Amherst County museum systems, Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest, the Avoca Museum in Altavista, and the Walters Gallery in Baltimore, Md. Several of our history majors have also done research at the George C. Marshall Library in Lexington under the Marshall Library Fellowship Program.
