This award was established in 2019 by the Lynchburg Alumni Association. It honors Dr. Kenneth R. Garren and his service to Lynchburg College/University of Lynchburg as its president from 2001-20. The award is given yearly to one University of Lynchburg graduate student who is engaged in class, mentors other students, participates in conferences and helps promote the graduate program to prospective students within their field.
Nomination Deadline
Nominations for all alumni awards will close on Oct. 1, 2024.
Nomination Criteria
- Eligibility requirements: Must be a current (enrolled) student in the University of Lynchburg doctoral or master’s degree program.
- Criteria for selection: Has demonstrated a high level of engagement as a University of Lynchburg graduate student and stands out as a leader among fellow graduate students and the University of Lynchburg community.
