All traditional first-year students are advised by first-year advisors who partner with a Connection Leader, and a peer mentor who aids first-year students in the transition to college. At the time of enrollment, all ACCESS, transfer, and second-degree students are advised by specific advisors, who specialize in working with these groups of students.
Many students have one advisor. Westover Honors students have a major advisor and a Westover advisor, and students with double majors have two advisors. Students may also choose a minor advisor. Advisors are listed on the student’s academic summary, class schedule, and grade report, accessible through MyHive. Advisors can view their advisees’ academic summaries, class schedules, and grade reports, accessible through MyHive.
