We’re excited you have chosen to continue your academic journey at Lynchburg. The Office of First and Second-Year Initiatives is here to help you in becoming a successful college graduate. Our mission is to offer programs and events to connect, inspire, and engage you throughout the year, which will enable you to build relationships with classmates, student leaders, campus administrators, and academic advisors while fully acclimating to the Lynchburg campus community.

- Freshmen: For first-year students who have earned less than 12 college credits after high school graduation.
- Transfer Students: For first-year students who have earned 12 or more college credits after high school graduation.
- Access and Second Degree Students: For students over the age of 25 and students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree.
- Commuter Students: For students living off-campus.
