  • Developed with involvement from key constituencies
  • Addresses an important aspect of student learning or student learning environment
  • Evolves from institutional assessment (based on data)
  • Has specific goals with detailed plans for assessment

Senior Symposium on writing and critical thinking, freshman English, information literacy, reading, Collegiate Learning Assessment (CLA), National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), and alumni surveys
