Are you interested in the work of Michelangelo, Vermeer, Chaucer, Shakespeare, or Milton? Are you interested in the Crusades, 15th-century Florence, or the reigns of the Tudor monarchs?
The medieval and renaissance studies minor helps you connect a major in art, English, or history with in-depth study related to the arts and politics of the medieval and renaissance time period.
What will I study?
You choose from a variety of courses in literature, history, politics, philosophy, art, music, and religion – courses like Survey of French Literature; Tudor England; Renaissance Art; and Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
The minor requires 15 hours in courses covering material prior to 1600 (and English Renaissance literature through 1700).
