Victoria “Tori” Rogers ’24
We are thrilled to announce that Victoria has been selected for the Phi Kappa Phi National Council of Students. Established in 2007, the Council of Students is comprised of seven student vice presidents from chapters across the nation that serve as the student engagement committee for the Society and liaisons between all student members and the national office. Congratulations, Victoria!
“Let the love of learning rule humanity.”
When I first heard Phi Kappa Phi’s motto, I knew that I needed to join this organization. For myself, I have always attempted to seek out opportunities to engage in leadership and academic roles that would increase my level of knowledge and ability, one of the reasons I decided to apply for this position. It is for this reason that I am also the president of Collegiate Virginia Music Educators Association (CoVMEA), secretary and chorister for Mu Phi Epsilon, historian for Alpha Psi Omega, co-captain for the Forensics and Debate Team, a Westover Honors Fellow, and a member of several other academic and leadership honor societies on campus, such as the National Society for Leadership and Success, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Phi Eta Sigma.
As a future educator, I value Phi Kappa Phi’s respect for learning in all areas and hope to use the skills I learn with this organization to inspire other students to follow our motto, both at the University and in my future classrooms. Without learning, the world would be at a standstill and innovation would be impossible; hopefully, I will be able to help others see this. I greatly appreciate this honor and the opportunities it provides for my own future of learning.
