Adjunct Faculty in the Doctor of Medical Science Program
Mike Cohen, DHSc, JD, PA-C joined the faculty in May of 2016 as an adjunct professor, and will be teaching the Healthcare Law course. He has over 30 years of experience as a practicing PA in emergency medicine in Washington DC and Florida.Full time, Dr. Cohen works as a federal investigator for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General, Office of Investigations. Work there includes oversight of the nation’s law enforcement activities concerning pharmaceutical frauds in Medicare and Medicaid at OIG headquarters in Washington, DC. Prior to that, Dr. Cohen worked in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Miami for the Department of Justice.
Dr. Cohen graduated the physician assistant training from George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He received his undergraduate training from the University of Richmond. He also has a law degree with a specialty in Health Law, and his Doctor of Health Sciences from A.T. Still University with a concentration in Leadership and Organizational Behavior.
