Founded: In 1869, an eternal bond was formed between three VMI cadets that stood against the rampant hazing and abuse of cadets that occurred at the school. Their bond in the “Legion of Honor” quickly grew into what is now Sigma Nu Fraternity; a brotherhood committed to excelling with honor.
