Westover pen pal program aims to ‘brighten’ older adults’ days
The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has made it difficult for people to connect with family and friends in person. This is why Christian Kumar ’22 initiated a pen pal program between Westover Honors College students and a local senior living facility.
President Garren receives award from Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance
Dr. Kenneth Garren, president of the University of Lynchburg, was honored by the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance with the 2019 F.M. “Dink” Cloyd Award for volunteer service. Garren accepted the award during the Alliance’s annual meeting last Wednesday.
